The Louvre began as a palace of King Phillip II. It is known to house some of the most famous works of art such as The Mona Lisa and Madonna of the Rocks. During the French Revolution it was transfomed from place to museum and was opened to the public. Being one of the most famous and visisted museums in the world I cannot imagine the lines I will face. But of course what is inside is not to be missed so here is what I have found out. It is best to be there first thing in the morning possbile 30 minutes early. You can order tickets in advance by phone and then pick them up at any FNAC store.
