The life of Marie Antoinette fascinates me. Her life was full of such sadness and scandal yet I think I am one not to believe she was a bad person. The paintings of her intrique me and I believe she was a kind person who tried to make the best of her situation. I think anyone given money and power would buy nice things but it sounds like she still helped people when she could. She was a good wife and mother. Her story tells of the power of rumors. Just because France was in financial strain, the people actually believed the things that were said about her because they needed someone to blame. Don't we all do that? I love The Diamond Necklace Affair. I would have loved to have been there during this time. It sounds hilarious. I feel for this woman, I don't know why. I am excited to be in the very place she reigned with great power.
